Normandie welcomes you to their neighborhood bistro that is inspired by the coastly bounties of the Pacific NW. The food is fresh, light, and flavor forward.
Heather Kintler is Executive Chef and co-owner of Normandie, a seafood-heavy bistro located in SE Portland. Her cooking style is adventurous and bold; much like herself. While studying
Photography, she began working as a prep cook and quickly discovered that cooking was the
creative outlet she had been searching for. Within three years she rose to Executive Chef at
Emiliano’s Café. Florida couldn’t hold Heather’s creativity, so she chased ingredients to
Portland. She spent 16 years as executive Sous Chef at The Veritable Quandary. During her
tenure she honed her leadership skills in a high-volume restaurant. After the closure of VQ she
joined Side Yard Farm & Kitchen as Sous Chef and Co-Farm Manager. Her experience on a community oriented organic farm deepened her understanding of utilizing every part of
vegetables and herbs, from root to seed, fruit and flower. Through a humble and grounded
approach, Kintler provides an elevated experience of what a neighborhood bistro can be, by
showcasing the abundance of the Pacific Northwest, sourcing responsibly and locally. Her menus are built to please thrill seekers, artists, but most importantly the everyday human. With the use of simple ingredients and bold flavors, Heather transforms the ordinary to unexpected.
Forest Grove, OR
Apolloni Vineyards is committed to producing the highest quality wines, reflecting our location and style, and combining the best of old and new world winemaking tradition. Our Pinot Noir is classic Oregon – always elegant and subtle, with notes of blackberry and dark fruit from our Northern Willamette Valley location. While our wines uniquely express themselves from vintage to vintage, our commitment to style and tradition in winemaking remain constant. Our sustainably farmed fruit is hand picked and sorted in small lots and then fermented and aged in French Oak barrels.
Our white wine varietals showcase our unique growing region and cooler climate. We chose to plant Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay because of their suitability to the Willamette Valley and ability to produce dry, yet expressive wines. They embrace the unique flavor of Oregon’s grapes and bring it to the table.
Alfredo’s Italian roots are showcased in our limited-production warm red wines, sourcing fruit from neighboring Washington. Alfredo loves big red and because of our northwest location, we are able to source Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to produce wines true to Italian style but grown locally.
Alfredo Apolloni and Kevin Green work together to create sustainably farmed and produced estate Pinot Noir, cool climate whites and Italian varietals. These are a reflection of the Northern Willamette Valley location and years of small production winemaking experience.
